At Wanstead, we are proud to offer free off-farm trucking on all corn contracted through the co-op. We also offer competitive options to move soybeans and wheat. If those commodities are moved directly to an end user, no trucking charges are incurred. If trucks are brought into either of our branches, we charge a subsidized cost of $2.50/mt for trucking. Our logistics team strives to ensure quick and quality service to all farmers. In addition to third party carriers, Wanstead owns and runs two trucks throughout the year to guarantee that our customer’s loads are prioritized.

All loads moved off-farm are subject to different discount schedules depending on which end-user the grain is moved to. In the unfortunate instance of a rejected load, Wanstead Farmers works with the grower and consumptive buyers to mitigate any financial consequences such as freight costs and quality discounts that may occur.
