The co-op funds itself through three different mechanisms

1. Profits it generates.
2. Loans from commercial lenders.
3. Members and others who invest in the company in the form of debentures.

Investment opportunities

The table that follows outlines the current investment opportunities and the rates that the co-op offers:

Investments may be purchased either by members of the Co-operative or non-members. Membership is not a requirement to invest.

These investments are "unsecured" and are long-term investments that are issued for 1 to 5-year terms. Interest is paid annually on August 31 and/or on the maturity date of the loan.

Upon the initial investment, a confirmation statement is mailed to the investor, followed by an annual statement of investments on August 31.

The minimum investment to be invested by an individual is $1000 and the maximum amount is $400,000.
